Root Canals
A root canal is a treatment used to
repair and save a tooth that is badly
decayed or becomes infected. abscesses may form around a tooth if
left untreated.
Crowns & Bridges
There are many reasons we may recommend a crown for your treatment.
Large cavities, a crack portion of a
tooth, or a tooth weakened by a root
canal are some of the more common
indications for a crown restorationA
Bridge is one of a few options that
you may have when replacing a missing tooth or teeth. Tooth loss can
effect the way you eat, speak, and the
alignment of other teeth in your
mouth. It can also lead to further
tooth decay and periodontal disease.
Bonding/White Filling
Bonding refers to the use of a composite resin to restore a tooth which has a
cavity or defect. It is used as a contemporary alternative to amalgams (silver
fllings). This is an excellent cosmetic
option for those patients who do not
want the look of silver in their mouth.
Composite can also be used to veneer
teeth as a more affordable alternative
to porcelain veneers.
Oral Cancer Screening
During a dental exam, the doctor will
check your neck and oral tissue for
lumps, discolorations, or recurring
sore areas. He will also check for
changes in your oral tissue, which
may signal cancer at an early stage
when it can be more successfully
treated.
Routine Cleaning
In addition to the meticulous cleaning, polishing, and examination of
your teeth we also evaluate our patient’s hygiene techniques and make
adjustments to your routine where
needed.
Scaling & Root Planning
Scaling and root planning is a
non-surgical procedure in which the
dentist removes plaque and tartar
from below the gum line. Root surfaces are cleaned and smoothed with
special designed instruments. It is important to remove the plaque and
tartar from the pockets, because
plaque and the rough surfaces of
tartar make it easier for bacteria to
gain a foothold.
